An attempt at the meaning of life
I feel, we use success to try to validate our lives. To make us feel that in the billions of people in the world, we are unique, someone who is making an impact on the world and BEYOND OTHERS.
I think it’s why beauty is so admired, desired and envied, because a face created by genetics, cannot be cloned or matched, it makes somebody effortlessly special.
It’s funny that beating others makes us think we are unique when the most beautiful emotion in the world is love, something that joins people, something that throughout the world gives us the same feeling. We all want to be different but the greatest joys in the world are sharing things with others.
I think in life you can’t have one without the other. Because a passion to achieve, fulfil something that you believe validates you as a person is so special for our individual path in life. But we need human connections to remind us of our true place in the world, our nature as a member of the great species of animals- humans.
